Terms and Conditions

1. How we will accept your booking.

Bookings are made through our website and you will receive an email booking confirmation on competition of your
booking. Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been made in full. If, for whatever reason, we are unable to
accept your booking, we will inform you of this (including why we cannot accept your booking), and you will not be
charged.

2. You confirm that you and your child are able to take part in classes.

By booking a place onto a class, you agree that both you and any child under your care or supervision are able to take
part in our classes, and that it would not be harmful to either your or your child’s health, safety, comfort or physical
condition to do so. Please note, we will not be liable for any loss, injury or damage suffered where you do not tell us
about a medical condition, or you or the child do an activity which you are aware (or should have been aware) would, or
might be, detrimental to you or the child.

If your child has any medical conditions these must be declared when completing registration, these include any
allergies. This should be kept up to date by emailing toni@thecuriositylab.uk or calling/messaging 07864841482.

3. You and your child use our services at your own risk.

You and any child for which you are responsible attend our classes at your own risk and you are responsible for
supervising any child in your care at all times. As long as we have delivered the class with reasonable skill and care, we
will not be liable to you for any loss, damage or injury suffered by you or a child for whom you are responsible as a
consequence of you not following our instructions during the delivery of our classes. We advise that old clothes are
worn so that if any clothes get wet or marked, there is no issue. The Curiosity Lab takes no responsibility for clothes
that become stained, marked or damaged.

4. You shall not allow your child to attend a Class if they are ill.

If your child has had any form of illness, we ask that you do not attend any classes until the illness has passed, in line
with NHS guidance for specific illnesses. Full guidance can be found here: https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/is-my-child-
too-ill-for-school/

5. Photography and media use.

Parents are welcome to take photos and videos of their child throughout any of our classes, and to share these on
social media or with their friends and family. However, this is at the sole discretion of the class leader, who may
withdraw this right at any time where a parent is acting unreasonably (for example, preventing or delaying us providing
the Class, taking excessive amounts of photos, videoing whole segments of our classes, or taking photos or videos of
other children without their parent’s permission).

You must declare if you do not want your child to be photographed for marketing purposes. This should be kept up to
date by by emailing toni@thecuriositylab.uk or calling/messaging 07864841482.

6. You must comply with our policies and procedures.

You must comply with, and ensure that your child complies with, any policies and procedures which we communicate
to you from time to time in relation to our classes. This may include (but shall not be limited to) policies in relation to
health and safety.

7. Class delays/cancellations.

If a class is delayed/cancelled due to an event outside our control, then we will contact you as soon as possible via the
contact details given during booking to let you know. In the event of a cancellation, you will have the opportunity to
attend a rescheduled class. If this is not possible, you will be offered a class credit to use against future bookings or
refunded in full for the cancelled class depending on your preference.

8. Missing classes.

If you miss a class (and you do not have a good reason for this), we are unable to provide a refund for any classes which
you paid for but did not attend. Where there is space, you are able to transfer your class to a different session that
week. If you prefer, you may gift a space to a friend. To do this, you must contact us by emailing toni@thecuriositylab.uk
or calling/messaging 07864841482 to organise at least 3 days before the class.

9. If you wish to cancel your place on any Class.

You can cancel within 14 days of us accepting your booking (the “cooling off period”) without giving a reason. If you
want to exercise the right to cancel, please contact us by emailing toni@thecuriositylab.uk or calling/messaging
07864841482. We will refund all payments received from you. However, if you have attended any classes during the
cooling off period, we will make a reasonable deduction from any refund we give to reflect this. If you wish to cancel
your class place after this time (either for a specific class, or for all remaining classes in a block) , you must contact us:

a. in the case of illness – as soon as practicable.

b. in any other case - not less than 7 days before the date of the relevant class.

Unless you are cancelling your place during the 14 day cooling-off period, you shall not be entitled to a refund in any
respect when you cancel or transfer your place.

10. We are not liable for your property.

Please note that your property and belongings which you or your child bring to a class are your responsibility and we
shall not be responsible for any loss of, or damage to, such property.
